1. Rules for the III #curiousBCNpics contest

#CuriousBCNpics

Hotel Curious invites you to participate again in the photo contest <b>#CuriousBCNpics</b>. For the first edition, we had more than 400 photos. Last year we had more than 700! This year we also expect your participation!

The prizes:

FIRST PRIZE: The first prize is a camera Instax 210 Fujifilm.

FIRST FIVE WINNERS: a customized shirt with the photos to the 5 participants who had more likes on Facebook. So cool!

What should I do to particpate?

1) From 15th December 2014, take a curious picture of Barcelona (or look for it on your camera roll!) and upload it on Instagram with the hashtag #CuriousBCNpics.

2) To have your photo into contest, you must follow the Instagram account of Hotel Curious.

3) The 10 pictures that we most like (the ones showing the most curious side of Barcelona) will be uploaded into the Hotel Curious Facebook’s Fan Page next 16th February 2015 as FINALISTS, within the album "III # CuriousBCNpics".

4) On March 30th 2015, the pictures with more 'likes' on Facebook, will win the prizes above. Tell your friends to 'LIKE' your photos and share them with all their friends!

RULES:

 

- The contest will be open to participants over 18 years old, of any nationality and country of residence.

- You must include hashtag #curiousbcnpics to participate and each participant may submit as many photos as he/she wishes from 15th November 2014 on.

- Hashtag #curiousbcnpics must be written by the participant at the moment of uploading the pic on Instagram . If it was written by other Instagrammers, thepic will be unvalid for the contest.

- All participants must follow the Hotel Curious' Instagram account.

- Only ONE pic of each participant will be picked for the final contest.

- The winner is the owner of the pic that at the end of the competition has received more "likes" on Facebook next 30th March 2015 at noon. This will be posted on the blog in the official website of Hotel Curious next 30th March 2015.

- In case of tie, the time of the contest will be extended to one more week, waiting for new votes to reshape the outcome. The extension of the time of the contest will be exclusively for the tied photographs.

- The first prize for the major winner is a camera Instax 210 Fujifilm.

- The winner of the camera, as well as the 5 winners of the shirts, shall provide Hotel Curious with the address where to receive the prize. The prize can take up to 1 month to arrive to the provided address.

- The results of the competition, which ultimately will be published by the staff of Hotel Curious, is irrevocable. The winner is the winner! :)

- Participation in this competition implies acceptance and fulfilling of these rules.

2. What is the best way to come to the Hotel and the cost ?

From BCN airport “El Prat”:

By bus:

From the main exit of the aiport you will find a bus station for the AEROBUS that connects the airport to “PLAZA CATALUNYA”, on the top of Las Ramblas.

Duration: 40-45 minutes

Ticket Cost: 5,30 Euros (one person) you can buy on the bus.

From Plaza Catalunya, you walk down Las Ramblas and you will see the Carme Street (less 10 minutes) on your right hand-side. Hotel Curious is in this street, in number 25 (it will be on your left handside).

By Train:

From the airport, you shall take the train (R10) untill the train station “PASSEIG DE GRACIA”. Then you have to take the subway L3 (green line) to “ZONA UNIVERSITARIA” and make your final stop at “LICEU” station. Using the exit “Ramblas – Mercat Boqueria”. When you are on Las Ramblas, you have to walk some minutes (direction Plaça Catalunya) until Carme Street. Hotel Curious is on number 25, it will be on your left handside.

Ticket Cost: 3 euros.

From Girona airport ''Rayanair'' (GRO):

By Bus:

From the aiport, you have to buy a Bus ticket for the Barcelona Bus that connects Girona Airport with Barcelona-Nord Estaciò (Bus Company SEGALÉS)

Ticket Cost: 12 euros go/ 21 euros go and back.

Then, from the bus station in Barcelona-Nord Estació, you have to take the main exit and you will find the a metro station “ARC DE TRIOMF” (red line L1). You take the subway direction “HOSPITAL DE BELLVITGE” and get off at “PLAZA CATALUNYA”. From there you have to take the exit “LAS RAMBLAS”, you have to walk some minutes down Las Ramblas until Carme Street (located at the right side). Hotel Curious is on Carme Street, number 25.

From Reus Airport:

By Bus:

The bus company Hispano Igualadina connecting the center of Barcelona (Sants Estació) and Reus Airport. The Bus Schedules change often, we recommend to check on the website of the bus company. Bus Schedule Once you arrive at Sants Station you have to go to the Metro and take the Green Line (L3), then take direction ''Trinitat Nova.'' You have to get off at "LICEU" and use the exit "Ramblas-Mercat Boqueria'' Then they have to walk up (direction Plaza Catalunya) to find Carme Street, left side (less than 5 minutes). The hotel entrance is at number 25 of this same street.

Price: One-Way 14€/ Go and Back 24€

By Train:

The train from Reus center goes to the Sants train station in Barcelona. From Reus Airport to Reus train station there is a bus service. The trip takes 20 minutes from the airport to the train station. The Schedules are related to the flight schedules and the tickets cost 2 euros. Here you can check it: Reustransport Once you get at the train station of Reus, there you can catch the train to Sants Estació. Here you can check the schedules of trains to Barcelona Once you arrive at Sants Station you have to go to Sants Estació ''underground'' and take the Green Line (L3) and take direction ''Trinitat Nova.'' You have to get off at "LICEU" and use the exit "Ramblas-Mercat Boqueria'' Then they have to walk up (direction Plaza Catalunya) to find Carme Street, left side (less than 5 minutes). The hotel entrance is at number 25 of this same street.
3. When do we have to make the payment for the reservation ?

The payment of your reservation will be done at the Hotel during the check-in process. We will ask you what type of payment you prefer (cash or credit card). In case it is with credit card, it can be a different one than the one you used to garantee your reservation.

4. Why do you need the credit card number and expiration date ?

The credit card number is needed to garantee the reservation. No charge will be done on it untill you come and make the payment.

5. Is it possible to arrive before/after the official check-in time ?

The official check-in time frame allow us to manage ourselves a frame used for the cleaning of the rooms. Before, depending on circumstances (early cleaning) you might enjoy the room a little earlier than planned. After, the Hotel is open 24h and we know that plains do not care about check-in time so we keep your room untill you arrive. This why we need you to tell us about your estimated time of arrival (at the airport or the Hotel). If you planned to arrive after 18:00, please advise us (mail or phone call)

6. Can you keep our luggages before check-in/after check-out ?

We do have a special loocked and secured room for luggages storing so you do not have to worry about them in case you arrive early or leave late.

7. How can I/we cancel the reservation without beeing charged ?

Booking done from our webpage : you just need to send us an e-mail 48h prior to your check-in date and there will be no charge.

Booking done from other portals : you need to cancel your reservation from the same portal 48h prior to your check-in date and there will be no charge.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CANCELLATIONS OVER PHONE

8. What does the prices include ?

The prices given in our webpage includes Breakfast and Taxes so the price you will pay at the check-in is the one you saw when you did your reservation (it also appears on your reservation confirmation).

9. What is already in the room (shampoo, soap, sheets, towels) ?

The rooms are provided with fresh sheets, one pillow per personn, towels, shampoo, gel-soap and hairdryer.

10. Where is the closest car-park ? How much does it cost ? Is it possible

The closest underground car park : at the last crossroad on the PINTOR FORTUNY st (when going to Las Ramblas), or on the HOSPITAL street after the CARME st when you are going down. Both are underground parkings Parkings cost : approx 25 euros per day (24h)

11. How can make a special request about the room (2 pillows, high floor, ...) ?

During the booking process on our webpage, you will have the opportunity to leave us some comments about request or special questions you might have. We will do our best to answer you as soon as possible.

12. Is it possible to add an extra bed in the room ?

It depends, some rooms can afford the addition of an extra bed, some don´t. In case an extra adult bed is needed, please let us know us, we will answer you quickly.

13. Is the Hotel adapted to disabled personns – is there an elevator ?

Our Hotel is equiped for disabled personns not using a wheelchair or who can leave it temporarly.

Our Hotel has a lift from the reception (ground floor) that can be used by disabled personns. The access from the elevator to the rooms is also possible.

However, due to the age of the bilding and the size of the rooms, displacements within the rooms or access to the bathroom are not garanted

14. What type of Credit Card are accepted ?

WE accept most debit and credit card (Visa – Mastercard – Maestro - Dinner) and the American Express.
