Hotel Curious offers a 4G tablet to its direct guests for their stay in Barcelona
Hotel Curious faces with great enthusiasm a new technological project to offer its clients a new experience 2.0 that will improve their stay in Barcelona and enhance their digital relationship with the guest. The project consists of two basic pillars: a 4G Tablet and a free hotel application, compatible with iOs and Android.
The connection to the Internet is one of the most valued points by the guest, an aspect that hotels, beyond the Wi-Fi network of the establishment, do not usually explode. The fact that the customer receives a free 4G Tablet keeps him connected 24 hours a day, a free service that undoubtedly becomes an added value of great consideration. The user can connect up to 10 devices to the Tablet and enjoy 4G connection throughout the city.
The integrated tablet application is designed to complement the customer's stay by providing hotel information and facilitating the contracting of cross-selling products and services from both the hotel and third parties. In addition, a new communication channel is established through direct chat from the application, which allows guest - hotel interaction on a permanent basis. The interrelation created through the mobile device is fundamental for the tourist 2.0.
This powerful application of information, consumption and communication is available to all Hotel Curious customers and can be downloaded to your Smartphone or Tablet for free. However, only customers booking through the Hotel website will receive the 4G Tablet. This action is complementary to the European campaign Book Direct, in which the Hotel Curious participates.
Downloading the application prior to arrival is the Hotel's main challenge. This way the customer is in contact with the hotel before, during and after their stay. The experience begins in the city of origin of our client.
This platform allows to display to each client, in a personalized way, different information according to their profile, room type, date of entry, length of stay, etc. It also allows to send push notifications to the clients, being able to inform them of events, offers or any type of information (upselling) punctual.
The project, called My Cty, is led by the Gremi d'Hotels of Barcelona and developed by My Hoteling and Cty Tab, two companies with a deep knowledge of the tourism sector and with great technological capacity. Hotel Curious has been the first hotel to bet on this project and has participated in development phases of the application.
