Posted by: Hotel Curious at 2010-06-01

Hotel Curious announces the proximity of this great event in Montmelo, near Barcelona. Comes Motorcycling Grand Prix Catalunya!

Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner and the actual 250cc champion Hiroshi Aoyama will run on July 4th at the Circuit de Catalunya, between appointments in Assen (Netherlands) on 26 June and Sachsenring (Germany) on 18 July.

This season has the peculiarity that opens Moto2 mode instead of 250cc. This new category has been implemented to be a greener engine, as is four-stroke engine, it also provides all participants with a common engine, reducing by half the cost of participating in the competition. This season has been allowed the two modalities but all teams have already registered with the new engine.

Do not miss it!

How to get Montmeló from the hotel:

The F1 Montmelo circuit is located 32km from the city of Barcelona.
The train to Montmeló begins in Sants station from 6.30 am, stopping at Paseo de Gracia and Clot-Arago. The line L2 (green) will take you to the train station at Montmelo, the last train back to Barcelona at 22.50 pm. We recommend buying a T10 for about 15.70€ that will serve both to go and back and also can be used in Barcelona. From the station, and during the race weekend, there is a shuttle bus service to the main entrance. Also within walking distance.
