Barcelona World Race

Barcelona prepares to make the starting shot for the Barcelona World Race.
On 31 December, 15 ships and 30 skippers will sail from Barcelona on a journey of 46,300 km to Barcelona. The challenge is to go around the world (for the three capes - Buena Esperanza, Leeuwin, Hornos - and the Cook Strait, leaving Antarctica to starboard) with only two people per boat and nonstop.
You can see the start on 31 December at 13.00 hours from opposite the Hotel Wella, in the port of Barcelona.
